Job description
The Test Lead ensures software quality by executing test plans, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with development teams. They conduct both manual and automated testing to enhance the software development process and maintain high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Test Planning and Execution: Develop and execute detailed test plans and cases that align with project requirements, documenting results and identifying software defects.
- Automation and Regression Testing: Maintain automated testing scripts to optimize processes and perform regression tests to ensure new changes do not disrupt existing functionality.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and report defects efficiently; collaborate with developers for resolution.
- Collaboration and Improvement: Work closely with project stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to continuous process improvement.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation of testing procedures and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Requirements
- Testing Proficiency: Skilled in manual, automated, and regression testing.
- Automation Tools: Experience with tools like Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Programming: Knowledge of languages such as Java or Python for test scripting.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong abilities to analyze and troubleshoot defects.
- Communication and Documentation: Effective in communicating with stakeholders and documenting test cases and results.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to ensure thorough test coverage and adherence to standards.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Professional Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Certifications: Certifications in Quality Assurance, such as ISTQB or CSTE, are preferred but not required.
